About Tripoli Airport
Tripoli Airport is a Hellenic Air Force military aerodrome in the Arcadia region of the Peloponnese, Greece, whose perimeter roads and taxiways double as a temporary road-racing circuit for national motorsport events. Laid out mostly on asphalt with a short concrete-paved section, the circuit runs roughly 2,100-2,150 meters with about 11 turns in a right-hand (clockwise) configuration, varying by event since the track carries no permanent markings. It has hosted rounds of Greece's national motorcycle and car speed championships, most recently as a stop on the OMAE-sanctioned Panhellenic Speed Championship (branded AUTOVISION Hellenic Auto GP).
