About Hockenheimring
The Hockenheimring, officially Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg, is a FIA Grade 1 motor racing circuit located in Hockenheim, approximately 20 km south of Mannheim, Germany. The current Grand Prix configuration measures 4.574 km with 17 turns on an asphalt surface, run clockwise. First opened in 1932 as a triangular street circuit, it has hosted the German Grand Prix numerous times and currently welcomes around 700,000 visitors annually with spectator capacity of 120,000. The venue hosts Formula 1, DTM, MotoGP, and a wide range of club and touring car events.
