About Charade

The Circuit de Charade is a historic motorsport circuit located in Saint-Genès-Champanelle near Clermont-Ferrand in the Puy-de-Dôme department of Auvergne, France. Built around the base of an extinct volcano, the current permanent circuit measures 3.975 km with 18 turns, having been shortened from the original legendary 8.055 km mountain layout. Once dubbed the French version of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the venue hosted four Formula One French Grand Prix events and continues to host track days, driving courses, and historic motorsport events.
