About Catalunya
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a 4.657 km FIA Grade 1 permanent racing circuit located in Montmeló, near Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Opened in September 1991, it hosts Formula One and MotoGP as annual flagship events on a layout featuring 14 turns, a mix of high- and low-speed corners, and a long front straight. The 25-hectare facility has a grandstand capacity of 140,700 and is operated by Fira Circuit SL on behalf of owners the Catalan Government, the RACC, and the Montmeló City Council.
