About Brainerd
Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) is a multi-purpose motorsport complex located at 5523 Birchdale Road in Crow Wing County, northwest of Brainerd, Minnesota. The facility features two overlapping road course configurations — a 4.023-kilometer, 13-turn Competition Road Course and a 4.989-kilometer Donnybrooke layout — alongside a 0.402-kilometer NHRA-sanctioned drag strip. Founded in 1968 as Donnybrooke Speedway, BIR hosts the annual Lucas Oil NHRA Brainerd Nationals, the largest drag racing event in the Upper Midwest, as well as road course track days, drifting, and motorcycle events.
